From 1^st September, Qantas’ daily service on the Brisbane-Los Angeles route will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

The Qantas Dreamliner will replace the Boeing 747-400 currently being used on this route. Flights QF11/12 will carry passengers from Brisbane along with passengers connecting from Sydney and Melbourne, to Los Angeles and connect on to New York. 

Qantas will continue to operate up to three weekly Boeing 747 flights between September and December alongside the Dreamliner daily service to meet the demands of the season. However, the national airline is expecting delivery of its eighth Dreamliner by the end of the year which will replace the three weekly 747 services between the Queensland capital and Los Angeles, with four weekly services.

The Qantas Dreamliner features the airline’s latest version of its Business Suite which offers passengers fully-flat beds, direct aisle access from any seat, and ‘any time’ dining menu.

The Brisbane-Los Angeles route is the fourth international route for the flag carrier’s new Boeing 787-9 fleet. Fares are already on sale.
