Aqua Expeditions Adds Amazon Cruiseship and Enhanced Private Cruise/Charter Capacity

| June 22, 2016

Aqua Expeditions has announced the addition of a 20 suite new Amazon River cruise ship to set sail in 2017 with construction commencing in December 2016.

This third Amazon vessel will be a joint cooperation between Noor Designs of Vietnam and Jordi Puig of Peru, and will resemble the company’s award-winning Aqua Mekong, with twenty 320 square foot suites, a spa, a gym, an outdoor infinity pool and a fleet of four customized tenders for small-group, daily explorations into the jungle for wildlife viewing and birding in the Pacaya Samiria Reserve and cultural visits to local communities.

Scheduled to launch in early December 2017, this third boat sailing Peru’s Amazon will be named the Aqua Amazon, answering a growing demand for luxury cruise experiences. They will also be renaming the recently-renovated Aqua Amazon, the Aqualina, which will be used to expand their private cruise and charter cruise capacity.
Stay tuned for more exciting news this summer as we share the new destinations we are expanding to as part of Aqua Expeditions’ 3-year growth plan which complement our current luxury cruise options on the Amazon and on the Mekong.
