Queen Mary 2 Docks In Port Melbourne

Ben | March 26, 2012

Watching the Queen Mary 2 enter Port Melbourne is a breathtaking sight, especially since it is the largest cruise ship to visit Australia and is twice as long as the MCG! Manufactured at a cost of $800 million and weighing an enormous 151,400-tonne, it is almost twice as large as the original Queen Mary and  3 times the size of the Titanic.

The Queen Mary 2 docked at Port Melbourne’s Station Pier and in total will spend a record 30 days in Australian waters. Crowds gathered to get a glimpse of the luxury liner, which hosts 4,000 guests and crew.
