Crystal Cruises Announces 2014 World Cruise

Ben | February 8, 2013

Ultra-luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises has released ‘Crystal Adventures’ online for its 2014 World Cruise, just days after their 2013 World Cruise set sail, which marks the voyage’s earliest-ever availability of guests’ outing options.

Over 200 shore excursions are now available for pre-reservation on the line’s website. The experiences, ranging from half a day to several days each, will take guests to some of the world’s most natural and historically significant landmarks. The annual World Cruise sails for 89 nights onboard the Crystal Serenity, starting 18 January 2014.

“Many of our World Cruisers are early planners, committing to the cruise months and even years ahead. 2013 was a recordbreaking year in that respect, and 2014 and 2015 are shaping up to be similar recordbreakers,” said Philip Ordever, vice president of International Sales & Marketing.

“By allowing guests to research and pre-reserve their shore options now, they can begin anticipating their World Cruise experience all the sooner, planning all the places they’ll visit, and growing more excited about their trip ahead with each adventure booked.”

In 2014, World Cruise guests will have the chance to:

  • Helicopter over Hawaii and Cape Town
  • Safari for native African wildlife
  • Explore cultural microcosms such as Geisha life in Kyoto
  • Blend their own wine near Cape Town and learn Creole cooking in Mauritius
  • Visit WWII Pacific Theatre sites from Tinian to Oahu, including a private lunch with the captain of the USS Missouri

Crystal’s 2014 World Cruise consists of five 12 to 22 night segments, visiting ports including California, Guam, Mariana Islands, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Angola, Ghana, Senegal and Morocco. Cruisers receive perks such as a bon voyage pre-cruise gala, complimentary chauffeured pre- and post-cruise transfers and special shore-side event participation. Crystal is offering a special offer for guests booking before 28 February – enabling a saving of up to GBP2,438 per person – with all-inclusive fares starting at GBP2,373 per person.
